San Francisco – Mother’s Day usually turns out to be the busiest holiday for the florists. There has been some confusion among the merchants and customers on purchasing flowers.

At San Francisco’s Flower Mart, Merchants finding themselves to be busiest this week. Particularly on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

Because of this Pandemic Situation restaurants are not operational. And most of the people want to do something special for their Mom, by sending or buying flowers for them.

Merchants were being closed for weeks and now look satisfactory. As they getting very busy but at the same time confusion is rising in merchants. About how the flowers can get to the consumers. 

Governor Gavin Newsom announced Retail Stores, earlier this week. Florists were also included in the list of permitted businesses. That can start curbside pickup Friday. Even Californians asking to support their local Florists

On Thursday news from the six counties in the bay area to maintain the shelter-in-place orders. Allowing for flower deliveries only, was a shocker for most of the merchants.

Especially at the flower mart, merchants are getting upset. As they are not allowed to sell from their stores to the customers.

Customers who walked-in to buy flowers early this morning. Merchants made them turned away and directed to call and have orders delivered. Even the Drivers are waiting for their deliveries in Castro.

The Bi-Rite market surging up with the customers who lined up in a row for the flower sale. Markets and businesses ensured to follow the guidelines. They also allowed and permitted to provide essential groceries and flower sales.

But despite high demand in sales on account of Mother’s Day. Florists are still getting hurt and trying to recover from the losses they had. Because of their canceled wedding orders and other events because of the pandemic.

To sum up, I request and urge you to buy flowers whenever they can to support them.
